Heavy Horse and Country Show 2026

Join us for our Heavy Horse and Country Show which promises to be a fantastic day out for all the family! This exciting annual event is steeped in history and a wonderful opportunity to see the gentle giants of the horse world in action. This event is a unique chance to get up close to the impressive Heavy Horse breeds and see their presentation, handling and working – a fascinating fun day for adults and children alike! There will be a full timetable of shows and competitions, Heavy Horse competition winners, prizes and farrier demonstrations with specialist advice. The Horse Show programme will run between 10.30am to 3.30pm. Please be aware that last admission is at 3pm and our Gardens close at 5pm. Families can enjoy: - Capel Manor’s colourful 30-acre Gardens - Fun dog show – enter on the day!* - Animal talks at the mini zoo - Children’s rides, bouncy castle and games - Trade stalls* - Ice cream, hot food and drink stalls Programme and classes The programme and classes of the day will be available to view online closer to the event day.
