Styling day 5 This was a great day in December. When I got there I was greeted with a nice welcome. There was wine and juices or tea and coffee to drink, also nibbles to have with the drinks. It was very friendly. I do enjoy these events as it give you a chance to speak with all the staff. A big thank you to you all for putting on this event.

Great service 5 Great professional service from the moment I walked in the door. All staff treated me professionally and warmly. There was a minor issue with my eyes that was dealt with compassionately and very professionally by Fatima. I felt reassured at all times and thankful everything was ok. I now have my new prescription in new frames and are very happy with the service I received from all members of staff. Thank you all.

5 Such a delightful, welcoming and relaxing atmosphere Thank you Deven (optician) for all your expertise, time taken and recommendations resulting in much clearer vision now, in all I do and achieve. As ever, Anita's cheerful and helpful support directed me to a fantastic new frame for reading glasses. Thank you both, not forgetting the receptionist, once again put me at my ease. Glasses repair 5 I just wanted to thank the staff at Hammond Opticians for repairing the glass in my mother in law's glasses yesterday and tightening the arms. She is so grateful. My mother in law lives in Barnet and her optician is closed for Passover so my husband rang Hammonds to see if they could help. We fully expected to pay for the repair but they very kindly did the repair for free. In this day and age, it is so refreshing to find someone willing to go above and beyond, for free! We are very appreciative of Hammond's help and my mother in law is too. I hope someone from there sees this and passes it on.

Hammonds opticians 5 Hammond Opticians have really restored my faith in opticians. My former optician retired and I had a new opthomologist see me. I have had several eye operations in the past and complex eye issues. I was told I needed glasses for driving and varifocals at a vast cost. It just didn't feel right so I went to Hammonds and they did a thorough examination and as I thought there was another option. The care and consideration is second to none. And I trust them with my precious vision. I would highly recommend this optician with old fashioned values & fantastic customer service (no high pressure sales) and state of the art equipment - a perfect combination! Never skimp on your eye sight - getting the right optician is a wise investment and one you won't regret :)

Visit to address an eye problem 5 I would like to say a big thank you to Devon and all the staff at Hammonds. I had an appointment yesterday for an eye problem I was having. 5 Stars 5 My entire experience with Hammond Opticians was perfect. My initial phone call booking the appointment was courteously and efficiently handled by the receptionist and all information about the proposed examination was very well explained, during the phone call. On arriving and during my appointment, I was struck by the absolute cleanliness and well ordered appearance of the practice. Health & Safety and Covid precautions were attentively adhered to. Deven Lakhani conducted the eye examination very professionally. He carefully explained in advance, the various techniques and instrumentation he'd be using, in an interesting and understandable way. The examination wasn't rushed and afterwards, he explained the results and conclusions to me very carefully. He also answered all my questions.

5 I came to Hammonds one year ago for the first time to have my eyes tested, and I was happy with the service I received so I decided to come back. I found all members of staff welcoming and friendly. On having my eyes examined, all procedures was explained to me clear and precise before in each test was taken. 5 I have been visiting the store for a number of years now, I’ve always find the staff to be pleasant, friendly and courteous. The store is pleasantly display, clean and bright . I also love the new addition ie the cabinet displaying the various frames it caught my eye as I enter the store. I truly appreciate the personal attention and the time taken to clearly explain each steps in regards to the the conditions of the eyes and why certain tests were done . Also the fitting and choosing of the glasses, in all it was a pleasant experience.

5 I have used Hammonds for over 35 years. I had a recent visit for my eye check and can not rate their professionalism high enough always kind considerate helpful and with me lots of patience. I was very happy to see all the new equipment that they have invested in to make the whole process much more comfortable I really felt very relaxed and welcomed all the professional feedback and support not to mention the fun of choosing new frames. 5 Honestly, by far the best opticians I have ever been to. Not because of being flashy but because of genuinely doing everything properly and MUCH better than any other optician I have been to, especially the chains. They pre-prepared a whole selection of frames for my unusual requirements. They adapted their procedures to my communication preferences. The ophthalmologist talked me through every thing in incredible detail and with great kindness. The optician measured my head with special machines to make the frame fit just right. They had better testing/measuring machines and a better range of frames and accessories than I have EVER found anywhere. The staff were all so kind and genuine. And an independent, local business with a personal touch. Honestly the best optician experience I have ever had. Highly recommended. They treat you well and do everything to be absolute best standard it can be done.

5 Very friendly from the moment we walked through the door, I took my two young children for eye tests, one child is painfully shy & was nervous about being there but Deven really made him feel at ease & made the test fun. Very professional, explaining at every point what was being done & why. 5 From the moment you walk into Hammond Opticians, you are warmly greeted by the smiling, friendly staff. Deven was extremely caring and informative about my dry eye problem and gave me more advice and help than any other local optician or even Ophthalmic consultants. My eyes have improved greatly in the 6 weeks I've been under his care. Nothing is too much trouble for all the staff and you do not feel pressured to rush your visit. I have recommended them to many friends and will continue to do so!

5 I really wanted to try an independent after visits over the years from the usual high street chains which always made me feel like I was in a factory production line, after reading the reviews I chose Hammond opticians. the whole experience was amazing from start to end, complete and thorough with a warm and friendly customer service. 5 “I have been a new patient at Hammond Opticians, since April 2017. The Customer Care I received was, and is, exceptional. The welcome on my first appointment was warm and inviting, which instantly put me at ease. I have a complex prescription. Nevertheless, I was treated with dignity and respect throughout my eye examination having tests for glasses and contact lens. The examination was very thorough, and at every step of the way, I was told exactly what was happening, and why. Throughout this time I felt quite empowered by what I could achieve in all of the tests. Some of the tests were new, as was the cutting edge technology. The expertise and caring for me, as an individual, was excellent. I felt very special. I was advised of the best Contact Lens that were available to me, and now have beautiful Lens that are very comfortable and that I can wear for much longer. A new pair of glasses are next, and I can’t wait to receive the Quality Service, that was for my contact Lens. I was not rushed through my appointment, and had time to ask any relevant questions, that were answered with honesty and clarity. At the end of my appointment I was asked to complete a feedback form and also give suggestions to improve the Practice, of which, I have never done before. How refreshing to know, as a Patient, my views are listened to and appreciated, and where appropriate may be put into action. All the Staff at Hammond Opticians are very professional and receive on-going training. How privileged I feel to know that if I have any queries, they are there to help, and certainly will go “that extra mile.” Hammond Opticians also work hard to engage in the Community. They have Open Days and invite everyone to attend. Also there are various workshops at Chase Hospital. I can keep myself up to date with new developments, by following their Website and Facebook Account. There are useful hints and tips and interesting topics.

My 3 girls (4-7-8) were seen by Deven today and he was brilliant with them and kept them entertained but explained exactly what was happening . child eye test 5 I took my 5 and 3 year olds to Hammond's after recomendations on here. I had the baby in the pram with me, so a tad mob handed. The staff were delightful. Whisking off coats, producing crayons and paper , offering me water while helping me fill in a form as if they had been trained by superman herself. The actual testing was done professionally and with a calmness that only a busy mum could appreciate. I can not recomend them enough. I booked a 9:15 and left there feeling a lot more relaxed then when I had arrived. I know I make it sound like a spa experience, but it really was so stressless. I should emphasis that the eye test and optician himself was professional and really helpful. I had a concern about my eldest eyes and he explained it all simply and clearly, that even my 5 year old understood.

Wonderful care 5 I went along to Hammonds after my previous optometrist retired and based on recommendations from others. I firstly went to the open day and met everyone and also Pauline Harwood who helped me choose some frames in advance of my eye test. I was so impressed by how friendly yet professional everyone was. I went back the following week for my eye test. Devan couldn't have been more helpful and attentive and pays so much attention to detail. He wants the very best for you and has so much patience. My eyes aren't straightforward and The help a I have received is tremendous. Anita was also brilliant , patient and friendly. As well as getting my new glasses perfect Devan is trying to enable me to wear a contact lens which would be fabulous. The time and effort they give to you is wonderful and I couldn't be happier or more appreciative. You feel that your eyes are in the very best of hands and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

5 I was made aware of Hammond's Opticians by LYDS and made an appointment as I was tired of the mediocre service provided by a well known High Street chain. I received a professional, friendly and personal service and my appointment was a really pleasant experience, and Deven faultlessly explained the process. My new glasses arrived quickly and I picked them up yesterday. It was a pleasure doing business with this company and I highly recommend them.

5 I was looking for an optician in Enfield Town, came across Hammond’s and walked in on a busy Saturday morning, finding two groups of clients already seated and being attended. I was ready for a wait but within seconds I was greeted and received a professional but very personal welcome. Not being able to make the Monday, I got my appointment for an eye test on the Tuesday. The appointment was a pleasant experience, unrushed, polite and personal. The basic [Silver] eye test and examination was carried out with care and attention to detail. I did not feel I needed the gold or platinum examination, so I did not experience all the high tech equipment they have, but was impressed by what was on offer. It doesn’t get much better than this! I would recommend Hammond Opticians to anyone.

5 Hammonds [Opticians] offer the best service of any opticians I’ve used. When I forgot to pick up a product, Deven simply dropped it round on his way home and they charged me for it on my next visit. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable - they’re never in a rush, and they never try to push you into buying anything. I recently decided to try ortho-K lenses, which I first heard of through Hammonds. As someone who finds glasses annoying but never quite got used to contacts, these have been a revelation. I wear the lenses overnight, then remove them in the morning, and can see perfectly all day. It’s especially convenient for when I swim. I’d recommend them to anybody who isn’t quite satisfied with glasses or contacts.

5 I am very pleased with the friendly and professional service at Hammond Opticians. It was easy to arrange an appointment where an ongoing problem with dry eyes was diagnosed and an appropriate treatment plan was tailored to me. All the staff are friendly and professional and the service and aftercare is very reassuring. There is a good range of products and treatments for my blepharitis and lid problems and each step was fully explained and the staff assured me that I could call on them with any questions I had.
