A lovely post this week praised staff at Chase Farm Hospital after a resident attended for a pre-op assessment and had a really positive experience. There was also a lovely community update from the Hilly Fields Neighbourhood Community Litter Picking Hub. Barclays Bank Enfield Town staff joined a litter pick and donated £500 through a Barclays Volunteering Grant to support the group’s work.

Residents were amused and surprised to see a shelf-checking robot in Tesco Southbury Road. The robot, known as Tally, moves around the aisles checking for shelf gaps and missing products before returning to its docking station to recharge.

1.Residents Raise Concerns After Another Parsonage Lane Accident Road safety was a major concern this week after another accident on Parsonage Lane. A car reportedly came around a corner and hit a tree, with emergency services attending the scene. Thankfully, the people in the car were said to be ok, but the tree had to be cut down.
Residents have since raised concerns that this is the third accident on Parsonage Lane in a matter of months, with calls for urgent action to improve safety in the area.
2.Planned Bus Strikes Affect Local Routes
Residents were reminded about planned bus strike action, with a number of routes across Enfield and the surrounding areas affected.
Little or no service was expected on some routes, prompting people to plan ahead, check before travelling and allow extra time for journeys.

A severe alert was shared warning of a very high risk of wildfires nationally. Residents, landowners and visitors were reminded not to undertake any activity that could start a fire, including disposable barbecues, firepits, garden incinerators or fireworks.
