A magical day of books, storytelling, theatre, creativity and family fun is coming to Southgate this July, bringing together bestselling authors, performers, workshops and activities for children of all ages.
Families across Enfield are being invited to step into a world of imagination this summer as the Southgate Children’s Literature Festival returns on Saturday 11th July 2026. Taking place across venues along Chase Side, N14, the festival promises a packed day of storytelling, theatre, live performances, workshops, creativity and hands-on activities designed to inspire a love of reading and learning in children and young people. Running from 10am to 5pm, the festival will transform Southgate into a celebration of books, imagination and adventure, with something for every member of the family to enjoy.
A Festival Designed to Inspire Young Minds
The Southgate Children’s Literature Festival has quickly become one of the borough’s most exciting family events, bringing together authors, illustrators, performers, educators and community organisations to create an unforgettable experience for children and families.
