Jamaica Love – From Ealing to the West End, and Now Helping Jamaica Rise Again
Powered by Grace Foods UK
It began almost three years ago, as a one-off show at Questors Theatre in Ealing, created to mark Windrush 75 and celebrate the courage and culture of Jamaica’s first generation in Britain.
No one knew it then, but that night would start something special — the audience’s love affair with Jamaica Love.
The response was electric. Audiences laughed, cried, and sang along. The energy was so infectious that the show soon moved to The Beck Theatre in Hayes, followed by a tour of venues across the UK — each one packed with people eager to see their own stories on stage.
By 2023, the dream had reached the heart of the West End. Trafalgar Theatre opened its doors to Jamaica Love for a sold-out performance that proved Caribbean stories belong centre stage. From West London to the West End, it’s been a journey powered by love, community, and pure Jamaican pride.
The Power of the Show for Good
As Jamaica rebuilds after the devastation of Hurricane Melissa, the team behind Jamaica Love are using the power of performance to give back.
A portion of every ticket from the upcoming 2026 run will go directly to hurricane-relief efforts, helping families and farmers across the island recover and rebuild.
“When I created Jamaica Love, I wanted people to feel proud of Jamaica’s history — of the resistance, courage, and creativity that define our people,” says writer and director Mervyn Weir. “Those same qualities will see us through, as we unite to help our island rise again..”
Powered by Community and Culture
Behind the scenes, producer Marge Malcolm and her team continue to drive the show’s success, supported by headline partner Grace Foods UK, whose generosity has helped spread the message far beyond the stage.
The talented cast bring Jamaica’s story to life through powerful performances filled with humour, heart and history.
And when audiences arrive at Alexandra Palace Theatre next Mother’s Day Weekend (14 & 15 March 2026), they’ll find the full island experience waiting — Caribbean food, a Jamaica Love exhibition, and a live DJ setting the vibe before the curtain rises.
When the show ends, the celebration continues with the official Jamaica Love Boat Party on 21 June 2026 — your chance to dance, mingle, and party with the stars.
