More than 30 organisations, clubs and youth groups will come together in Enfield Town this Sunday to showcase the opportunities available to young people across the borough.
This Sunday, 7th June, Church Street in Enfield Town will be transformed into a vibrant celebration of youth, community and opportunity as Enfield Youth Day 2026 takes place from 12pm to 4pm. Organised by Enfield Christmas Parade co-founder Kathy Worrall and a dedicated team of volunteers and community partners, the free event will bring together more than 30 organisations, clubs and youth groups to inspire young people and connect families with the incredible opportunities available right here in Enfield. From sports and performing arts to youth services, volunteering and skills development, Enfield Youth Day promises to be a fun-filled afternoon with something for everyone.
At Love Your Doorstep, we've spent years working alongside young people through our Community Patrols and local projects, and one thing has become increasingly clear: young people need positive opportunities, trusted adults and places where they feel they belong.
Too often, conversations about young people focus on challenges and problems. Enfield Youth Day shines a spotlight on something different, the extraordinary network of organisations, volunteers and community groups working tirelessly to support the next generation.
For many parents, it can be difficult to know what activities and services are available locally. For young people, discovering a new club, sport, creative outlet or mentoring opportunity can be life-changing. Events like this help bridge that gap.
Visitors can expect an afternoon packed with activities, demonstrations and opportunities to meet local organisations face-to-face.
Activities will include boxing workshops, climbing challenges, music, arts, performances, youth services, cadets, scouts and much more.
Organisations attending include:
• Edmonton Eagles Boxing Club
• Boys Brigade
• Enfield Scouts
• Exodus Youth Worx UK
• DJMC Academy
• Air Cadets
• St John Ambulance
• Enfield Guides
• Family Hubs
• Borough Youth Services
...alongside many other groups supporting young people across the borough.
For some young people, a simple conversation at an event like this could lead to a new hobby, increased confidence, new friendships, volunteering opportunities or even a future career path.
When communities invest in young people, everyone benefits.
Youth organisations, sports clubs, creative projects and mentoring programmes all play a vital role in helping young people develop confidence, resilience, leadership skills and a sense of purpose. They provide safe environments where young people can learn, grow and be inspired.
At a time when many youth services face increasing pressures and demand, bringing so many organisations together in the heart of Enfield Town is a powerful reminder of the positive work taking place across our borough every single day.
Whether you're a parent looking for activities, a young person searching for something new to get involved in, or simply someone who wants to support the next generation, Enfield Youth Day offers something for everyone.
A huge amount of work goes into organising an event of this scale, and Kathy Worrall and the team behind it deserve enormous credit for creating an opportunity that puts young people centre stage.
