Previously known as the Enfield Town Steering Group, the partnership has now evolved into the Enfield Town Action Team. It brings together representatives from local businesses, charities, cultural organisations, community groups and Enfield Council, all working collaboratively to support Enfield Town and help deliver positive change.
Love Your DoorStep is proud to be part of the Action Team and wanted to introduce the people behind the initiative, highlight what has already been achieved and share what’s coming next.
A Partnership for Enfield Town
The Action Team was established to help coordinate projects that make Enfield Town a better place to live, work, visit and do business.
Rather than replacing the work already taking place across the town, the group aims to bring organisations together, encouraging collaboration and helping new ideas become reality.
The Chair role is funded through Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding, with Adrian Day recently appointed as the group’s Independent Chair to provide strategic leadership and help secure future funding opportunities.

Delivering Events for the Community
One of the Action Team’s priorities is bringing more activity into the town centre.
Working with creative producer Ozioma, two fantastic community events have already taken place.
Armed Forces Day
Held in Saddlers Square, the event celebrated local veterans and those currently serving our country through storytelling, exhibitions, music and community activities, bringing people together to recognise their contribution.
A Play in a Day
This weekend saw 19 young people create, rehearse and perform an original piece of theatre in just one day before showcasing it to the public in Palace Gardens Shopping Centre.
The project was a real collaborative effort, with support from Ozioma and her facilitators, Courtney Ward, Sarisha Kumar, Preston Gubby, Clare Moloney and Kathy Worrall. It demonstrated exactly what can be achieved when organisations across Enfield work together to create opportunities for young people and bring energy into the town centre.
What’s Next?
The next exciting project from the Enfield Town Action Team is Hidden in Plain Sight – Discover Enfield Town’s History on a New Heritage Trail, encouraging residents and visitors to explore the fascinating stories and hidden history that make Enfield Town unique.
The Action Team has a growing programme of events and initiatives planned, all designed to support local businesses, celebrate Enfield’s culture and heritage, and create a town centre that people are proud to visit.

The Enfield Town Action Team has taken another important step in its journey to strengthen the town centre with the appointment of an Independent Chair. Bringing together representatives from businesses, charities, cultural organisations and the public sector, the partnership is focused on creating a thriving destination for residents, visitors and local businesses.
Previously known as the Enfield Town Steering Group, the Action Team was established in late 2025 to coordinate existing initiatives while developing new projects that will enhance Enfield Town.
The Independent Chair role, funded for one year through Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding, will provide strategic, independent and inclusive leadership. A key part of the role will be developing a long-term fundraising strategy to help sustain the group’s work beyond the initial funding period.
Following a collaborative recruitment process involving members of the Action Team, local consultant Adrian Day was appointed to the position.
Speaking about his appointment, Adrian said:
“I’m excited by the opportunity to help the Enfield Town Action Team revitalise and improve Enfield Town for all. The Town is at the heart of a London borough of over 300,000 people and has great potential to be an important destination for retail, hospitality, work, entertainment, culture and leisure.
“I have lived in the borough for over 30 years and, before that, fondly remember the excitement of visiting the Town as a child from a nearby village. It’s great to see businesses, public bodies, community bodies and charities already working together effectively in the group. I look forward to supporting members to deliver an ambitious programme for change, helping Enfield Town become a place of which we can all be proud.”
Looking ahead, the Action Team is developing an exciting programme of events and activities to help animate Enfield Town throughout the summer. Supported by UK Shared Prosperity Funding (UKSPF), the programme aims to attract more visitors into the town centre, support local businesses and create opportunities for the community to come together.
