On Friday 26 June at around 2pm, our friend was sitting quietly on a bench in Enfield Town Park when he was approached by a man unknown to him and assaulted without warning. The attack left him with a broken jaw requiring surgery and a lengthy recovery.
Many of you will know him through his incredible dedication to our community. He has spent years volunteering his time, helping keep local people safe and supporting others without asking for anything in return. To see someone who has given so much become the victim of such a violent, unprovoked attack has been deeply upsetting for everyone who knows him.
Detectives have released CCTV images of a man they believe may have vital information about the incident. He is described by police as being of tall build, with short black hair and facial hair, wearing a black T-shirt and blue shorts.
