For any students who would like to talk through their options, Enfield Council’s Careers Service is offering telephone support for those looking at next steps, suitable courses or other progression routes.
Students can call 0203 821 1959 between 9.30am and 3.00pm. More information is available through Enfield Council.
We also want to take a moment to thank our schools, teachers and support staff across the borough. Behind every school year is a huge amount of care, planning, patience and dedication. Your work makes such a difference, not only in exam results, but in the confidence, support and encouragement you give our young people throughout the year.
As the new school year begins, we want to wish every student, parent, carer, teacher and school team a positive start. Whether your child is excited, nervous, ready to go or still holding onto the summer holidays, we hope the transition is a smooth one.
We also know that this time of year can be expensive. Uniforms, shoes, bags, lunches, travel and school essentials can quickly add up, especially for families already under pressure.
Families in Enfield may be able to access support through free school meals, school-based help, community support and financial assistance. Enfield Council’s Crisis and Resilience Fund may also be able to help low-income households facing sudden financial hardship, including support with essentials such as food, energy, water bills, clothing, transport and other urgent household costs.

Good luck to everyone heading into the new school year. New starts can feel big, but they can also bring wonderful new opportunities.
